About the role:
The role of the Accounts Assistant is to work alongside Media Finance team colleagues and be responsible for performing a range of accounting and reporting tasks in the Accounts function. Being responsible for the billing as well as adhoc reporting is also a key aspect of the role.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Calculate and verify billing amounts accurately based on provided information, ensuring adherence to pricing structures and contract terms for the UK and International elements of the Media division ensuring errors and discrepancies are minimised.
* Prepare and process UK and international billing invoices (across Retail and Digital Media rights) promptly and accurately whilst maintaining a record of the billing activities.
* Be the key point of contact for customers and manage client relationships.
* Provide support to the Media and International Financial Controller in addition to the wider team.
* Assist and support in the bank reconciliation for Media specific entities.
* Be responsible for the debt collection across UK and International customers.
* Assist in the Media related audit by providing relevant documents and support where necessary.
* Assist in the weekly cashflow production for the relevant entities.
* Prepare and analyse financial reports as required.
About you:
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role, with a working knowledge of accounts receivable
* Take initiative and the ability to work independently
* Team player with pronounced numerical affinity and accuracy
* Previous experience with ERP systems (Exchequer) an advantage
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Has studied or currently studing an accounting qualification
