Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Faster diagnosis standards nurse (FDSN) to join our gynaecology nursing team at Frimley Health NHS Trust.
The remit of this role will be to Support the faster diagnosis and improved outcomes for patients with gynaecological cancers through triage and assessing all gynaecology referrals coming into the service ensuring that our clients are getting the right appointment in the right place at the right time. This role is pivotal to achieving the faster diagnostic standard by working alongside the clinicians and administrators to achieve early assessment and efficient progress through the pathway milestones.
Main duties of the job
You will have responsibility for promoting high standards of specialist care for patients referred for investigations into possible gynaecological cancer ensuring a quality experience. You will also be expected to be resource both within the trust and the community for clinical advice and information.
The post holder is expected to work collaboratively with and refer to other relevant allied health professionals and medical colleagues as required.

Job responsibilities
You must be a Registered General Nurse with substantial relevant post registration experience at Band 6 or above, in cancer, and /or gynaecology specialty nursing as you will be supporting our patients on a cancer pathway (TWR / 28-day pathway).

1. Registered Nurse NMC registration
2. Post-basic qualification in cancer or a relevant subject in gynaecology nursing care / management
