Coda Octopus Group, Inc (“COGI”) is a NASDAQ Listed Company and wishes to appoint a Commercial Manager for its newly acquired Acoustic Products business, Precision Acoustics, in Dorchester, Dorset.
Precision Acoustics are a leading innovator, developer and worldwide supplier of products, materials and customized services to the MHz ultrasound markets and have a sizable share of their part of the medical, academic and the non-destructive testing markets. Over many years they have had a close working relationship with a number of national and global standard setting bodies and with academic institutions worldwide to further ultrasound research and are prolific publishers in this area.
Our other Business areas are:
The Marine Technology Business (Coda Octopus Products), based in Edinburgh, Copenhagen and Orlando and which designs and manufactures technology solutions for the global offshore/subsea market. Among the products it has are its real time volumetric 4D/5D/6D Imaging Sonar, Echoscope (which is the only sonar that can image moving objects underwater), and its game changing DAVD (Diver Augmented Vision Display) System which provides a real time information platform for diving operations and.
The Engineering Business Operations based in Salt Lake City, Utah and Portland in Dorset. These companies are sub-contractors to Prime Defence Contractors, and various other organisations. They support a number of the defence programs both in the USA and UK through the supply of innovative technology and electronics based solutions to some of the well known names in the commercial world.
Precision Acoustics now wishes to recruit a Commercial Manager with experience of providing commercial drive and to support our technical managers to make sales and more broadly to provide the drive behind the marketing of the products and services of the whole company.
To this end, we are seeking a Commercial Manager who will form an important part of the management team of the Company, and through their efforts play a significant role for the Group.
The Precision Acoustics Commercial Manager with have responsibility for the Company’s marketing and sales globally to industrial, medical and academic clients.
The preferred candidate for this position will have a successful commercial sales background and will now want to build on their sales career in a business where new technology is bringing significant innovation and changing the way that industry operates.
In the Commercial Manager role and as part of your priorities in the first year of your appointment:
· You will contribute to the sales strategy for the Company and lead it in conjunction with your colleagues in executing against that strategy;
· You will contribute to individual strategies for each of the products of the Company
· You will lead the business in achieving its revenue targets;
· You will work to secure repeat revenues by assisting customers to exploit its products and ranges of services;
· You will provide good quality data and projections of sales and opportunities.

•\tBe open to travel from time to time in support of the Company’s sales and Marketing.
Qualifications
Proven Sales experience and a background in acoustics and/or electronics
Experience of using social media professionally
Good writing skills
Presentation Techniques
Negotiation Skills
Academically you will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree, with at least two years’ successful experience in commercial business to business sales.
