Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a Microwave Manufacturing Inspector to join the Operations Manufacturing team at our Luton site. The Microwave Manufacturing Inspector will ensure that all of Leonardo products have a full inspection throughout the Manufacturing process and on final build. The Microwave Manufacturing Inspector will ensure that the products reach the required quality standards and that there are no defects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out inspection procedures on all products to ensure build is in accordance with drawings and documentation
2. Ensure any defects found during inspection are documented effectively in SAP
3. Microscope use for inspection of PCB’s, Bonds and component placement
4. Assist in the rectification or investigation of any defects on products when requested
5. Work in accordance to ESD and FOD disciplines
6. Identify continuous improvements in process and yield
7. Maintain a clean working area in compliance with ISO class 7 and ISO class 8 clean room standards
8. Liaising with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure products meet the required deadlines
9. Ensure build processes and checks are being followed
10. Maintain a clean working area and comply with Health and Safety Regulations
11. Keep Familiar and remain compliant with clean room and ESD disciplines
12. Ensure compliance to regulatory and legal requirements
13. Identify improvements in process and yield
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
14. Inspection of Wire bonding and die bonding
15. Experience in a range of hybrid microelectronic assembly including device attachment methods and interconnection techniques
16. Ability to Inspect both repeat production and varied one off types of work
17. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
18. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
19. Ability to carry out Inspection of Microwave work to MIL-STD 883H and BS9450
20. Certified to IPC610 and ability to apply requirements within the standards objectively and consistently
21. Proven track record
22. Should be an effective communicator at all levels as you will be expected to liaise with Industrial Engineering, Production Planning & Engineering
Desirable:
23. Previous experience of military and aerospace products
24. Certification to IPC620, J-Std-001, IPC7711/21
25. SAP knowledge
