Salary: Grade D - £25,992 - £27,711 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Are you passionate about creating and maintaining safe, welcoming environments where children can thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Caretaker to work at Georgeham C of E Primary School starting in December 2024.
As a Caretaker, you will be at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
We are looking for an individual with:
* Excellent communication skills
* A competent level of IT skills
* A high level of competency in maintenance
* A good knowledge of Health & Safety · Professional, confidential, well-organised, innovative and flexible
* Places the child firmly at the centre of everything they do
The successful candidate will:
* Maintain the school buildings and grounds
* Undertake routine building and general site maintenance tasks, internal and externally, as and when required
* Work alongside the lead administrator and Headteacher to make alterations, repairs and improvements
* Be the first point of contact for contractors following the contractors on site
Ventrus Policy and safeguarding:
* Complete Health and Safety and compliance checks on time and recorded following policy and procedures in place
* Manage the security of the school site
* Support the cleaning staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
* Other duties as set out in the job description
