About the Role
Adecco Bournemouth is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to perform proactive and reactive maintenance on production equipment and facilities. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a vital role in maximising production uptime and supporting ongoing improvement efforts in a busy manufacturing environment.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
* Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
Key Responsibilities
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer, your role will include:
* Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery, including injection moulding machines and factory infrastructure.
* Working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Conducting preventative maintenance and documenting safety inspections.
* Performing safety tests, including fire alarm and working-at-heights checks.
* Carrying out water quality checks, such as salt level monitoring.
* Managing PAT testing and liaising with third-party contractors as required.
* Assisting with new equipment installations and supporting the tooling maintenance team when needed.
What You'll Need
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer, with strong mechanical and electrical expertise.
* A manufacturing background, ideally with experience in equipment like moulding machines, CNCs, conveyors, or robotics.
* Proficiency in single-phase and three-phase electrical circuits, as well as 12/24V DC systems.
* Basic IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
