Location: Heswall, Wirral
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Store opening hours: Monday to Saturday 9:30 - 16:30, Sunday 10:00 - 16:00
Are you passionate about retail, leading teams, and driving success? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Retail Shop Manager to join our team and take charge of the day-to-day operations of one of our high-performing charity shops.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, recruit, and manage a motivated team of staff and volunteers to ensure smooth shop operations and maximum profitability.
2. Achieve sales and profit targets by optimising merchandising, space allocation, and local market insights.
3. Ensure full compliance with all charity policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
4. Maximise income by promoting Gift Aid and ensuring stock is appropriately priced, rotated, and displayed.
5. Monitor shop performance using EPOS data, retail trends, and competition analysis to stay ahead in the market.
6. Collaborate with the Area Manager to improve shop performance and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
7. Manage shop budgets and control operational costs in line with company guidelines.
8. Deliver exceptional customer service by training and leading your team to provide an outstanding shopping experience.
9. Take full responsibility for daily cash handling, banking, and inventory management to ensure accurate and secure transactions.
10. Ensure health and safety compliance, safeguarding all staff, volunteers, and customers.
11. Participate in events and meetings across the North West to stay engaged with broader company initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Proven Experience: Strong background in retail/charity management with experience in leading successful teams.
2. Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team to achieve outstanding results.
3. Customer Service Excellence: A natural ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring the team is aligned with these values.
4. Financial Acumen: Experience in cash handling, budget management, and using management information systems such as EPOS.
5. Gift Aid Knowledge: Familiarity with Gift Aid processes and maximising its income potential in retail settings.
6. Merchandising & Sales: A creative approach to merchandising with a keen eye for detail to drive sales and profitability.
7. IT Skills: Comfortable using IT systems to analyse performance and manage stock.

4. Physically able to lift and move heavy items i.e furniture and homeware.
