Arla's in-house agency, The Barn, helps strengthen Arla’s global and local brands. We have a full creative team specialised in concept development and execution including production teams, project managers, account managers, data and strategy specialists to help us create impactful consumer experiences. We are excited to expand our agency offering to support our brands in the world of shopper marketing based out of our The Barn office in Leeds.
Does this sound like you?
As the senior art director for shopper, you live and breathe creativity. You’re used to working with creative briefs, concept processes, and you can’t help coming up with ideas. You think outside the box and you’re able to define concepts on all levels – brand to product. Part of your DNA is to enjoy the creative crafting process for both digital and printed touchpoints that will inspire and grab the attention of consumers. You’re into executions and detailing and you stay up to date with culture, advertising, and trends. You have an open mind and you’re not afraid to collaborate and speak your mind.
You in a nutshell:
1. Proven experience in a similar role: You’ve previously worked at a creative shopper agency or creative department.
2. Leading creative development: You’re equally a motivator and a problem solver with solid experience in owning creative projects.
3. Understanding brand and category strategies: Ability to infuse objectives in the creative idea.
4. Building creative presentations: Craft and experience in argumentation and make your ideas be understood through visuals and copy.
5. Knowledge of the shopper sphere: Understanding of the shopper touchpoints and how campaigns unfold impactfully across touchpoints.
6. Collaboration & communication: Work with the creative artworker and account manager in clarifying content requirements and ensuring optimal solutions for projects.
7. Unparalleled skills in Adobe Creative Suite: You know Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator by heart and have good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and interactive PDF production. If you know your way around Premiere and AfterEffects too, that’s a bonus!
8. A good knowledge of print processes: Expert knowledge and understanding of typography, space, and layout and be able to create print and digital ready artwork.
9. Interest in food: Cooking and the nuances of culinary experiences makes you happy.
Here’s your new role
You’ll have a central role in the development of the shopper creative team, where you’ll take lead on crafting creative concepts from brief and concept to execution and production – keeping your eyes on the ball throughout the creative process. Our clients include global Arla brands such as Lurpak, Castello, and Arla Protein, but also highly strategic UK brands like Anchor Butter and Arla Cravendale.
As part of working in our agency, you’ll be:
1. Transforming strategic planning into sharp concepts, campaigns, and ideas.
2. Driving client presentations and building argumentations for each creative idea.
3. Taking lead on creative consistency on brands and striving for the most intriguing creative solution.
4. Leading creative workshops to develop new ideas and concepts with the team.
5. Following creative direction from the creative studio manager, and developing brand campaigns, product campaigns, and activation ideas for shopper.
6. Supporting creatives within the team and collaborating with colleagues to deliver campaigns of the highest quality for all touchpoints.
7. Sharing your worldview, your learnings, and observations, and taking part in a creative team and culture.
8. Taking ownership and using your entrepreneurial mindset to make things work in an emerging department.
