Job Purpose and Impact
Location: Scotland Bathgate, EH48 3BP This is a fulltime perm role based onsite.
This position is in Cargill’s Aqua Nutrition (CQN) business within the Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) enterprise. Today, CQN is one of the largest suppliers of feed to the aquaculture industry, and together with our partners across ANH, we improve lives through better nutrition.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will contribute to work activities at our Aquaculture Feed Factory in Westfield, near Bathgate. In this role, you will work as part of a team to deliver safe, quality and compliant feed.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will develop and implement processes and procedures meant to improve quality throughout the organization. In this role, you will partner with other teams to identify and mitigate quality risks and will work with senior staff to address customer requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on audits.
Key Accountabilities
1. Expertly perform inspection of finished or in process goods, analyze data and identify trends in defects or errors.
2. Partner with cross functional teams on product design, product management and production to uncover and avoid quality risks.
3. Conduct root cause analysis for defects, nonconformities or other quality failures.
4. Ensure compliance with formal external and internal quality standards.
5. Provide training, coaching and mentoring to team members.
6. Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in a Quality Assurance role within a food or feed manufacturing environment
Solid working knowledge of quality assurance systems, food safety concepts and a third-party Food Safety Quality Management System standard
Understanding of HACCP principles
Intermediate mathematical and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
Qualifications in Food Hygiene, HACCP or Internal Auditing
