Our client, a Pubic Sector team in East London, are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Service Manager to join our client's Regulatory Services team. As the Environmental Health Service Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic implementation and operational delivery of various regulatory enforcement services. This includes overseeing teams that cover environmental health, health and safety, licencing, animal welfare, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on legal responsibilities, policies, and changes in legislation related to regulatory and enforcement services.
Support the development of strategic direction in enforcement and regulatory control functions.
Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to enhance customer experience, value for money, and the quality of services managed.
Maximise the use of available resources, including external agencies and government initiatives, to attract investment for the Council.Requirements:
Strong knowledge in food safety and prosecutions is essential
Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health.
Registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration board or equivalent.
Extensive experience in managing Local Authority Public Protection Services, preferably within an Environmental Health or Regulatory setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer resolution abilities.
