Your new role
As a Mechanical Estimator you will play a pivotal role in our continued success. You’ll be responsible for accurately estimating costs for mechanical projects, ensuringpetitive bids, and contributing to our growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimating:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents. Prepare detailed mechanical estimates, considering labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.
2. Risk Assessment:
Evaluate risks and opportunities associated with each project. Provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
3. Tender Preparation:
Developpetitive tenders that align with project requirements and client expectations.
4. Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
5. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, ensuring transparency andpliance.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience:
Proven track record in mechanical estimating within the construction industry.
6. Skills:
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills.
7. Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
