Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Finance Administrator within Whitby Coast and Moors Primary Care Network, working 20 hours per week. We are seeking a proactive and organised Finance Administrator, whose primary role will be to assist the Digital and Transformation PCN Manager with the PCN pilot and transformational projects at both PCN and practice level.

This key role will be embedded in the PCN Pilot and Transformation Team within Whitby Coast and Moors Primary Care Network, which supports system wide collaborative working to deliver multiple projects in work streams.
Main duties of the job
The primary focus of the post holder will be to support the Digitaland Transformation PCN manager with the day-to-day financial running of boththe PCN and PCN pilot. To assist with aspects of organisation finances,optimising efficiency, and financial performance, ensuring the organisationachieves its long-term strategic objectives. The post holder will be requiredto engage a range of key partners and stakeholders. They will need to workclosely with colleagues within the PCN, Practices and ICB, councils, and thevoluntary and community sector. The challenges come thick and fast in thisrole, but you'll know that your input is contributing to the excellentexperience our patients and service users have every day.
About us
Whitby Coast and Moors PCN was founded in 2020 and consisted of 5 GP surgeries namely, Whitby Group Practice, Sleights and Sandsend Medical Practice, Danby Surgery, Egton Surgery and Staithes Surgery with a population in the region of 25,500 patients. Since inception the patient population has grown to approximately 27,010 and Danby and Egton surgeries merged to become Esk Valley Medical Practice.
Whitby is relatively small PCN with a large geographical area of approximately 150 square miles. Whitby PCN is both rural and coastal, having one "A" road in and out in both directions and a high percentage of elderly patients.

Job responsibilities
Providefinancial support to the Digital and Transformation PCN Manager with a range ofduties to meet the requirements of stakeholders (PCN Board, PCN Pilot SteeringGroup, Practices other NHS Organisations, Staff, and the Public).
Assistin managing the PCN and PCN Pilot finances, maximising income and reducingexpenditure
Accuratelymonitor cash flow, forecast, and predict workflow corresponding to income.
Reviewall income and expenditure statements, identifying any inaccuracies andrectifying such issues.
Identifies key risks in the areas ofresponsibility and ensures that these are communicated to budget holders andthe Digital and Transformation PCNManager.
Ensureinvoices are paid within the given time frame.
Ensurethat effective financial controls are in place and processes are adhered to
Overseethe completion of task lists in line with month end closedown procedures andtimetable.
Assistin completion of control account reconciliations monthly and investigate anyissues for resolution.
Assistwith monthly claims such as ARRS, keeping records and reconciling claimsagainst funds.
Ensureincome coding is correct and liaise with accounts to address any issues.
Assistwith month end processes.
Ensureall departmental policies and procedures are adhered to.
Supportyear end audit enquires.
Performchecks on payments and reconciliation of funds received to funds paid.
Analysespending and prepare reports.
Answerqueries from Practices.
Prepareupdates on the financial position or the PCN or PCN Pilot.
Keeprecords and update spreadsheets with finance information.
Communication
