IPS have partnered alongside a leading, global specialty (Re)insurer in their search for a talented CAT analyst to join the team focusing on Offshore Energy.
The successful candidate will maintain and develop strong relationships with Underwriting teams, providing key analytics to drive portfolio optimisation, as well as help guide overall view of risk. Joining a supportive and tight-knit analytics function, you will play an active role in the regulatory reporting and portfolio rollup process, as well as direct involvement in project-based work on an ad-hoc basis. You will have the chance to manage workflow from the offshore support function, with potential for this to progress to training junior colleagues in the team, and scope for managerial responsibilities to increase thereafter as you develop in this role. You will be joining a dynamic and highly collaborative team, making this is an opportunity well-aligned for analysts who are eager to develop their knowledge and skillset in Catastrophe analytics.
To be considered for this position:
1. Experience using a recognised vendor Catastrophe model with an Offshore Energy focus.
2. Strong technical ability using coding and programming languages such as SQL and Python desirable, and use of visualisation tools such as PowerBI and VBA being highly advantageous.
3. Clear and confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
