I am looking for a Production Chemist for a Material and Device company who are market leaders in Nanomaterial technologies. They work with a number of well-known clients and are looking to relocate to Oxford in October so are growing out the team in anticipation for the move.
What you'll be doing?
The role involves synthesizing colloidal quantum dots (QDs) for commercial orders by setting up manufacturing stations, performing wet chemistry synthesis, cleaning, purifying, and packaging the products. It also includes quality control of the synthesized QDs through various measurements, such as absorption, photoluminescence profiles, quantum yield, TGA, DLS, and FTIR analysis. The role supports scaling up production through laboratory experiments, pilot tests, and commercial trials to introduce new processes successfully.
What they are looking for?
They are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in chemical synthesis, particularly in nanoparticles/quantum dots, organic/organometallic, or inorganic synthesis, ideally with industrial experience. Holds a PhD in chemistry or material science and possesses strong knowledge of materials characterization techniques such as UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy, PL measurement, TGA, FTIR, TEM, and SEM. Demonstrates precision in chemical synthesis, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams. Eager to contribute to a deep tech start-up...
