We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join an outstanding Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 mixed academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to make a significant impact in students' educational journey.
Role Details
1. Position: Teacher of English
2. Contract Type: Permanent, Full or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)
3. Start Date: January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
4. Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
5. Plan and deliver engaging, challenging English lessons across the age-range
6. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
7. Assess and monitor student progress
8. Support students in achieving their academic potential
9. Collaborate with department colleagues
10. Contribute to whole-school educational initiatives
Requirements
11. Relevant degree in English or related subject
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (applications from recently qualified Teachers or those working towards qualified status are also welcomed
13. Ability to teach secondary English language and literature
14. Excellent communication skills
15. Passion for teaching and student development
16. Ability to work collaboratively and independently
17. Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered)
