We are looking for an ambitious planner to become a planning manager for a Sussex-based developer who is going through a period of rapid growth. You will report directly to the directors while managing existing planning applications through outlined and detailed consents.
You will be dynamic, ambitious, and hungry to succeed. The business is very fast-paced, and you will be given a lot of autonomy to manage your own work.
You will either be working for a planning consultancy or another property developer/house builder. You must be degree-qualified and MRTPI qualified, with extensive experience dealing with planning applications and appeals in the residential property market.
Salary on offer is £60-70k complemented by a comprehensive package. Additionally, you will benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
As a Town Planning Manager, you will have a central role in supervising and orchestrating planning and development initiatives throughout the Southern Home Counties. Your duties encompass:
* Guiding a team of committed planners and fostering their development.
* Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic development objectives.
* Formulating and presenting planning applications, with ongoing communication with regulatory bodies.
* Assessing and proposing resolutions for intricate planning and zoning issues.
* Sustaining a commitment to ongoing research, keeping up to date with local, regional, and national planning regulations and industry best practices.
Key Requirements:
* Degree qualified and MRTPI qualified.
* Experience in a planning consultancy or residential developer/house builder.
* Detailed experience in dealing with residential planning applications and appeals.
* Bright, ambitious, and determined to succeed.
