We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join Gov Facility Services Ltd at HMP Portland, a Category C prison holding men aged 18+.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the facility's mechanical systems and equipment. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, including pipes, pumps, and valves
* Performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
* Responding to emergency situations and performing repairs as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant degree or equivalent experience
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Salary: £41,818.21 per annum
