Role: SIEM Consultant
Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid/Bristol – 3 days per week
Clearance: SC eligible

CND are supporting an innovative SME within the security space, who are in the business of developing bespoke SIEM solutions for their clients. This includes taking a vendor agnostic approach to making technical recommendations, allowing consultants to work on a solution that actually fits the requirements of the customer. The role offers a blend of technical acumen mixed with the softer side of consulting, in terms of working with clients to define requirements as well as then design appropriate solutions for them. If you want to be in the back of the room only being technical, it’s probably not for you. Keen for a bit more client interface? This will be right for you.
This is a permanent role, with a hybrid model of working three days per week in the Bristol office and 2 days remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work alongside the client in order to identify the most appropriate solutions for their needs
• Create and present SIEM architecture strategies, aligning this with goals
• Taking wider context into account, recommend the appropriate SIEM platform for each client
• Provide oversight on the design and configuration of client SIEM platforms
• Keep an eye out for improvements to detection capabilities to be made
• Share knowledge with clients about new and emerging Cyber threats
Essential Skills:
• A number of years of experience with one of the leading SIEM platforms
• Good understanding and knowledge of threat detection methods and security frameworks
• Deep technical knowledge covering SIEM architecture, log ingestion and management
• Ideally knowledge of either Azure, AWS or GCP
• Previous experience in interfacing with clients
• Relevant certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, or vendor certifications like Splunk Core Power User
