Support Worker in Ely
Between £12.21 - £14 per hour depending on experience
L is a young man aged 18 years, he is Autistic, has a tic disorder, clinical anxiety and selective mutism.
L has a happy personality, he loves animals & shares his home with 2 cats and a dog, he also has a great interest in geography, history & different languages.
12 hours per week likely over 3 days 2.30pm – 6.30pm but this can be flexible for a day out instead.
Between £12.21 - £14 per hour depending on experience.
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
Supporting L learning life skills, brushing teeth, running a bath safely, choosing weather appropriate clothing, making himself a snack like toast safely.
Learning the value of money, paying for things in shops etc., as well as accessing the community engaging in activities of choice.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to live their best lives.
Experience of supporting others with Autism is preferred as you will need an understanding of the condition and the daily challenges it can bring.
Someone who is patient and caring by nature who is encouraging and interactive in order to improve and develop skills.
It is important that you are reliable as L responds well to routine.
A driving licence is essential for this role with access to your own vehicle due to our remote location, mileage will be paid if you take L out in your vehicle.
