The post of Social Worker in the Child Looked after Team, Children’s Services completes a number of functions and statutory duties, to include child protection and safeguarding in line with the Children Act (1989) and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) 2014 Act.
The social worker will co-produce proportionate assessments and Care and Support Plans with families and partner agencies, produce court reports and ensure that children looked after experience permanence which supports them to achieve personal outcomes and make a successful transition to adulthood. The social worker will hold a case load supporting Children Looked after, children whose names are on the Child Protection. The post requires some court work to respond to applications to court for issues such as contact and for reasons of revocation.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
