We are seeking a passionate SEND Teacher to join a thriving Special School in Southend-on-Sea. This is a part-time role with a permanent contract, ideal for someone looking to balance work with personal commitments while making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special educational needs. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver personalised lessons for students with special educational needs.
* Collaborate with support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with moderate to severe learning difficulties and autism.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student well-being and development.
* Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
* Contribute to the school's broader initiatives focused on student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience teaching SEND students is desirable, but not essential.
* A strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
* Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
