About the Role: As a Process Engineer, you will be at the heart of designing, optimising, and enhancing assembly processes that drive efficiency, quality, and safety. You'll work closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality control to refine work-flows, tackle operational challenges, and introduce smart, cost-saving solutions that make a difference. Key Responsibilities: Innovate and fine-tune assembly processes to boost efficiency, safety, and product excellence. Design and implement optimal layouts and procedures for assembly lines. Conduct time and motion studies to unlock process improvements. Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies. Provide hands-on technical support to troubleshoot equipment and resolve process issues. Ensure all processes meet the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Create and maintain essential documentation, including risk assessments, work instructions, and SOPs. Specify, source, and oversee the installation of new tools and equipment. Develop proactive maintenance plans to keep operations running smoothly. Partner with quality control to ensure products meet standards, analyze data, and drive corrective actions. Lead exciting process improvement projects, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams. Train staff on new processes and equipment, while staying ahead of industry trends. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Essential) Six Sigma certification. (Desirable but not essential) Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. (Desirable but not essential) Relevant Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within assembly operations. Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Hands-on experience with CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools. Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities. Working Environment: This role is primarily based in a dynamic manufacturing plant environment, with occasional travel to supplier sites or other company locations.
