Purchasing Manager – South Yorkshire/Hybrid – £40,000 - £45,000 + 20% Bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a national leading business based in South Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team.
This role will suit someone with a strong background in strategic procurement and someone who can lead a small team of 4 in achieving day to day goals.

Purchasing Manager Duties:
* Manage the procurement of a variety of commodities, services and projects, including management of the supplier base and appropriate contracts / terms and conditions
* Identify opportunities to effect common purchasing, secure synergies and create value through procurement initiatives
* Management of strategic procurement projects / initiatives
* Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures
* Manage compliance / non-compliance of group-wide policies and procedures
* Integration, review and maintenance of group supplier base, maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness
* Manage supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency / benefit
* Address and resolve procurement problems, challenging under-performing suppliers and taking robust action to remedy issues / prevent recurrence
* Assist in the development of specifications and identification of suitable suppliers of goods and services
* Review quotations and negotiate prices with key suppliers
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexi time)
Required skills & experience:
* Previous experience in a strategic procurement role
* Experience with running tenders
* Proficient in use of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
