The role
holder is expected to work closely with the development team, solution architect, onboarding and operations team. They are responsible for the solution and will play a pivotal role in order to facilitate the implementation and delivery of these requirements by the technical teams and service the needs of our stakeholders. Key success factors for this role include the ability to understand both the functional and technical needs of our stakeholders, document detailed requirements aligned to stakeholders needs, identify and communicate gaps and dependencies, decompose features into user stories and tasks, and support the delivery throughout design, development and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse new demand and liaise with architecture teams (solution and data), development teams and business SMEs in order to complete a business case and financials for leadership approval.
2. Document business use cases, outlining challenges, opportunities, and solutions for the business stakeholders.
3. Capture and document business-driven product requirements from which capabilities can be developed based on design standards and reusable architecture patterns.
4. Capture detailed requirements, develop data mapping and lineage documentation so they are technically ready to be communicated with architecture and development teams.
5. Coordinate with business stakeholders and internal teams to ensure comprehensive business analysis and requirement mapping, and that success criteria are met and effectively communicated to the development and testing teams.
6. Apply analytical skills to understand, map, and document business and data requirements and present these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable, and flexible enough to meet stakeholder needs.
7. Participate in planning and prioritisation activities to develop and agree on requirements, program increments, sprint objectives, and release schedules.
8. Define and manage user stories and tasks to be completed by the internal teams in alignment with the product management vision.
9. Firm understanding of Agile development principles and experience working on an Agile team (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) with an onshore/offshore delivery model.
10. Previous experience and exposure to data-driven product implementation.
11. Working knowledge with respect to SQL query development and debugging, data modelling concepts, understanding of ETL techniques and technologies, and software development and testing methodologies.
The skills and experience we’re looking for:
12. High level of familiarity with product/project management tools/products such as - Azure DevOps, JIRA, Kanbanchi etc.
13. Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills in order to deliver concise messaging
14. 4 year(s) in progressive roles within or related to product management, including agile project delivery, business/data requirements gathering, solutions analysis, and data/software platform design and implementations.
15. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems or related fields (preferred but not a prerequisite).
16. Understanding of the Scaled Agile Methodology and general software development lifecycles (SDLC).
17. Understanding of MDM processes, tools, architecture, data quality, data integration, data modelling and mapping.
18. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into a language understandable by key stakeholders
19. Adept at building, maintaining and influencing relationships that inspire trust and respect
20. Provide solutions rather than problems; must take ownership and proactively resolve
21. Able to learn new concepts quickly and able to demonstrate effective logical and lateral problem solving skills
22. Aptitude for reacting quickly to change whilst maintaining structure and assuring quality of delivery
23. Able to multitask and adept at working in a fast paced work environment across remote teams.
24. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
