Process Engineer
Huntsman has an opportunity for a Process Engineer, with potential for the role to develop into the site Technical Manager, to be based at our Performance Products plant in Llanelli, South Wales.

Role Responsibilities :
As a Process Engineer, you will:
1. Support objectives set by the Site Manager which in turn meet the needs of the Performance Products (PP) Business and its customers.
2. Ownership of site Process Safety risk assessments including HAZOP, PHA and LOPA including leading revalidation work.
3. Maintain compliance with corporate EHS/PSM Procedures.
4. Engineering & Process Safety design elements of plant improvements initiatives and capital projects.
5. Lead Commissioning of new plant and equipment.
6. Support introduction of new products and materials including technical assessment of existing plant and equipment.
7. Provide production advice to Operations by tracking plant performance and trends and undertaking technical calculations where required.
8. Support the EHS Manager by providing technical assistance to achieve compliance with Huntsman EHS global standards and regulatory requirements.
9. Develop relationships and liaise with colleagues at other Huntsman facilities to share learning and understanding of technology and operational practice.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.
What we are looking for:
10. Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or relevant subject area.
Desirable:
11. Knowledge of process equipment design and modelling software systems.
12. Member of a recognized engineering or scientific institution with Professional Status.
13. Process Engineering experience within the Oil, Chemical or allied Process Industries.
14. Experience of leading site-based improvement projects.
15. Experience of Process Safety Management systems including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, MOC, SOP.
16. Experience working in a COMAH regulated site.
