JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking an experienced, highly motivated pension professional specialising in Risk Transfer work. The candidate will help to lead and grow our team in the fast moving and exciting Risk Transfer space. The candidate will lead relationships with clients, insurers and other third parties and be responsible for building new relationships and winning new projects for the team. They will need to be driven and passionate about growing a business and providing a high level of service.

Responsibilities specific to Risk Transfer work:
16. Proactively lead a portfolio of clients and build a pipeline of future clients for the team
17. Help to drive the future strategy for the team
18. Sign out high quality, technically accurate client deliverables, including FCA regulated advice
19. Establish effective working relationships with individuals internally and maintain strong relationships with insurers, Professional Independent Trustees and other advisers externally
20. Lead meetings
21. Responsibility for the financial management of your portfolio of clients
22. Contribute to the development of personal and team knowledge, including coaching junior members of our team
23. Build or expand your own network of contacts through regular attendance at internal and external meetings
24. Stay up-to-date with changes in law, topical issues in the industry and in the firm's products and services
25. Some travel and occasional overnight stays will be expected.
Essential skills and experience:
Alongside a strong academic background, you will ideally have an actuarial (IFoA) qualification and have:
26. Relevant UK pensions experience (ideally 10+ years), gained in an actuarial advisory team or with an insurer or reinsurer
27. Significant experience in Risk Transfer work leading the transactions with the insurer and the client
28. Experience in drafting RFPs, winning new work and developing new client relationships
29. Established insurer relationships and relationships with Professional Independent Trustees
30. Preferably FCA approved
31. Excellent team, leadership, organisational and communication skills
32. Plenty of self-motivation
33. The ability to work to tight deadlines effectively
Locations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Reading, Bristol, East Midlands. Expectation to be in an office at least 2 days per week.
