Job Duties:
The SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Duties include assessing students' needs, developing individualised learning plans, delivering lessons in accordance with the curriculum, monitoring student progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. The tutor will also collaborate with other education professionals and parents to ensure the best possible learning outcomes for students.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification - Experience working with students with SEN - Knowledge of SEN support strategies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN policies and procedures - Ability to develop and implement individualised learning plans - Effective classroom management skills - Excellent problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs - Additional training in specific SEN areas
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours, typically during school hours. The tutor may need to travel to different locations to deliver support. The work environment will include classrooms and other educational settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
