My client, an independent Transportation Planning, Highway Design and Civil Engineering Consultancy, is looking for a Transport Planner to join the team in Birmingham. The client has officers in Manchester, Birmingham and London and work on a variety or projects across mixed-use development, residential, urban exemption, land promotion, commercial, health, leisure, and educational sectors!
The position as a Transport Planner
As a Transport Planner you will be meaningfully engaged in all aspects of work and responsible for supporting the senior members of the staff on projects. Typical duties will include transport policy review, transport statements, transport assessments, travel plans, sustainable transport studies, active travel promotion, junction modelling and micro-simulation.

Essential Requirements for a Transport Planner
10. A degree in either Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or maths.
11. Previous consultancy experience.
12. Teamwork and communications skills.
