Enerveo is one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK, offering a broad scope of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well as street lighting.
Job Title: Approved Electrician / Electrician - Highways
Base Location: Exeter, Barnstaple or Plymouth
Salary: £33,849 - £37,137 depending on skills and experience and working hours - Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme, plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, 42 hours Monday - Friday 7am-4pm. Overtime available for those who want it.
What will I be doing in this role?
You will be joining a well-established team with a long-standing client base and secured contracts for the next 8+ years. Working throughout Devon maintaining and installing street lighting and streetlight columns, LED upgrades, CMS cell upgrades, and other highway electrical equipment.
In a typical day, you could expect to be:
* Installing and maintaining street lighting apparatus and furniture, including street lights, signposts, or signs
* Diagnosing faults and fixing faulty equipment as needed
* Completing reactive repairs to return Highways lighting to an operational standard
* Changing, maintaining, and testing equipment to prevent future issues
* Delivering outstanding service to clients and the general public
* Operating a mobile elevated working platform
* Updating inventory information on assets using tablet devices
* Collecting CMS information
* Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
* Undertaking standby and call-out duties when needed
What do I need to be successful in the role?
* Electrical background with completed apprenticeship achieving NVQ Level 3 (2357) or approved equivalent, City and Guilds 2360 part 1 and 2, or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 or equivalent qualifications
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Comfortable working at height in a MEWP
* Full UK Driving Licence required due to wide range of locations
* ECS card, CSCS card, or equivalent required
* Over 2 years experience as a Highways Electrician for consideration as an Approved Electrician
Some of our 'nice to haves' are:
* IPAF/PASMA working at heights training
* Completion of a G39 Electrical Safety in the planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of public lighting and other street furniture training course
* HGV Class 2 Licence is a benefit but not essential
* Good knowledge of the 18th Edition and C&G 2391 is beneficial
