TXM Recruit have a new opportunity for an Engineering Infrastructure Asset Manager for a leading Train Operating Company based in the North of England.
Role Overview:
As the Engineering Infrastructure Asset Manager you will be responsible for the full Engineering asset portfolio, ensuring it is fit for purpose and fulfils all lease and production obligations
Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that the desired functional and operational use of the asset and associated facilities is achieved, maintained, and assured whilst making sure all depot plant and equipment is reliable and always available in line with fleet production plans.
2. To specify and implement a continually improving asset inspection and maintenance regime, ensuring best practice is implemented across all sites.
3. To ensure the delivery of infrastructure and facilities projects, collaborating with the central projects team and Infrastructure change team on a regular basis.
4. Management of the supply chain, sub-contractors, and partners.
5. Build a positive and productive relationship with the various Network Rail stakeholders in the spirit of the partnership agreement
6. To lead and direct the Quality and Facility Managers at each of the four main TrainCare Centres, ensuring all Engineering outstations and local plant and facilities are managed with equal attention.
7. To comply with appropriate Health and Safety Risk Assessments and Method Statements and to actively monitor the health and safety performance of Supply Chain Partners in compliance with all relevant processes and procedures.
Role Requirements:
8. Significant experience of engineering team management in relation to plant a facilities maintenance.
9. Significant experience of occupational health and safety.
10. Good knowledge of environmental legislation.
11. Engineering qualifications to degree standard is advantageous but not essential
12. Occupational H&S qualifications essential or working towards. (NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum).
13. Managerial qualifications essential or working towards.
14. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills.
15. Extensive asset management experience is essential
16. Contract Management experience is essential
17. Rail background experience is desirable but not essential
