JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative
LOCATION: Aberdeen Airport
HOURS: 15 hours per week, Saturday, Sunday
PAY RATE: £ per hour
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
The main purposes of the Cleaning Operative role are to work efficiently, as directed by relevant supervisors, as part of a team in order to: Keeping outside areas clean and tidy, including litter picking, emptying bins and trolley collection. Clean and restock the Terminal buildings to the high standards required by our customers and at all times display the core values of our client.
All applicants must be able to provide us with a 5-year checkable referencing history.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. External bins, litter picking and trolley collection.
2. To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained on a daily basis within the terminal building by completing a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying bins and the upkeep of washrooms, toilets, offices and external areas as directed by Senior Supervisor.
3. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while complying with the company’s expectations, rules and procedures
4. Assuring the proper handling of hazardous materials, correct use of uniform, correct use of PPE and safety behaviour actions landside and airside
5. Ability to maintain professionalism in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients and any other person within the airport and work location.
6. Carry out other duties as assigned
Person Specification:
7. Good attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use own initiative. Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work. Good communication skills and committed to quality.
8. Being able to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment
9. Able to work without constant supervision and follow the management instructions • Reliable and flexible
10. Full training will be provided
Essential
11. Provide us with 5-year checkable referencing history.
Desirable
12. Full clean driving licence would be an advantage as would enhanced cleaning experience. Previous cleaning experience would be preferred as would experience in using buffer/ scrubber drier.
