Our Client is one of the leading organisations in the UK regarding new rail projects.
They are building one of the largest and most complex railway's in Europe.
There is a need for a experienced Assistant Traffic Manager to assist the Traffic Manager in the assurance of site traffic over several main site including over 30 crossings and 15 Bridal ways.
Responsibilities:
Develop an in depth knowledge of the Environmental Statement and the criteria for determining significant impacts.
Receive and review contractor forecast and actual traffic flow information as well as traffic management and, as appropriate, compile information across different contractors using spreadsheet tools.
Identify if contractors are correcting identifying new significant adverse impacts and providing suitable mitigation measures in consultation with Area Traffic Managers and external consultants.
Review flow forecasts and provide details analysis and commentary as to contractor (or multiple contractor) compliance with the project Environmental Minimum Requirements
Review actual flow trends against Local Traffic Management Plan assumptions and identify any trends which may be within - or outside - the scope of the project to manage or mitigate,
Liaise on environmental matters with town planners and environmental specialists - particularly in the provision of data on noise and air quality.
As necessary, request the deployment of the HS2 compliance team to check flow information and data to verify contractor records.
Assist the community engagement team with managing correspondence and queries regarding environmental effects.Knowledge of the operation of Traffic Management schemes and the application of traffic models along with their effect on the environment.
