Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 4 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one support to a Year 4 student with SEN, assisting with academic tasks and promoting their social and emotional development.
2. Collaborate with the class teacher to implement strategies and interventions to support the student's learning goals.
3. Adapt and differentiate classroom materials and activities to accommodate the student's learning style and abilities.
4. Monitor and assess the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCO as required.
5. Assist with the student's integration into classroom activities and peer interactions.
6. Maintain accurate records of the student's achievements and challenges, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity at all times.
7. Attend relevant training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in SEN support.
Requirements:
8. A qualification related to working with children in schools, such as Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
9. Proven experience working in a classroom setting, preferably with experience working with the National Curriculum and SEN.
10. Knowledge and understanding of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with SEN.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
12. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.
13. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
14. Must have access to a car and be able to travel to the school location.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
