Main Responsibilities:
We pride ourselves on our sector-leading provision and our commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for the children we look after. As such, we seek the highest calibre SRSWs who truly have a passion for helping children, as well as the skills and personal qualities to lead others. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will be the lead practitioner on shift. You will mentor, support and coach new team members and draw upon your extensive experience to manage any challenges that may arise.
No two days are the same. If you enjoy problem-solving and have confidence in your ability to make a difference to a child's life, then please apply. Our homes operate on a ratio of 2:1.
You will work collaboratively with our education, therapy and outdoor teams as well as colleagues from the wider sector, keeping the children at the heart of all you do. You will have the support of a dedicated, compassionate, like-minded team, who are all committed to the achievement and wellbeing of both our children and everyone in the AWW community. During this service's registration there will be a requirement to support current services which may require an element of travel.
Key qualities that we look for: You will already have achieved your Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People’s Workforce. Ideally, you will have experience in the Residential Children's Services sector or have worked in a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour.
This role offers a great work-life balance with our condensed working rota and sleep-ins; shifts start between 8am and 9am. Above all, we really want like-minded, passionate people who truly want to make a difference. We are an equal opportunities employer and have a commitment to safeguarding children; we follow safer recruitment processes.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. INDLP
