For this secondment opportunity, we are looking for an individual who is keen to build on their project management skills and bring innovative ideas to the Project Management Team. You should be eager to learn and develop new skills to help Brookes in its journey to transform its Digital environment. This is a unique opportunity to help design and build the future Digital infrastructure of Oxford Brookes University. This isn’t a role where you’ll have to ‘fit in” with existing ways of working. We like creativity and innovation and you can really make an impact and help to shape the agenda.
Please note that the secondment will require approval from your line manager and therefore it is recommended that you speak with them before applying for the role.
This is a full time, fixed term post until 16th June 2025.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
* The management of multiple projects or single large projects through delivery and transition to Business as Usual
* Development of projects and programmes through initiation and definition
* Scoping and investigative work relating to proposed initiatives
* Management of the generation of portfolio/programme/project reporting
* Management of portfolio governance process, including the projects register, IT Architecture Programme and Digital Strategy Programme board forward planning, and supporting the project management community of practice.
You will have proven experience of working in a complex change environment with multiple stakeholders (including suppliers) and securing their engagement to deliver change; leading, managing and influencing staff at all levels to ensure that team members and stakeholders own project objectives.
IT Services at Oxford Brookes University is a modern, service-oriented environment that is constantly embracing change. You will be joining the team at an exciting time and will be contributing to the IT Architecture Programme which aims to transform university life through the use of digital technologies and services, as well as delivering excellent customer service. In return you will be provided with development opportunities both professionally and personally that will enable you to continue to enhance your skills and knowledge.
We are happy to explore options around hybrid working as our team is based on the Headington Campus in Oxford. We can find the right balance spending time remotely and together on premise to fully engage with the team and the colleagues we work closely with.
