We are working with a leading FM Service Provider to recruit an Electrical Supervisor for an NHS Hospital in South London. In the position of Electrical Supervisor, you will have direct responsibility for the operational management of the building and engineering services, including staff & sub-contractor management.
Duties of the role:
* Has responsibility for ensuring that engineering maintenance, including contract work, is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications in line with the Project Agreement.
* Provides expert specialist and professional building and engineering expertise to other estates staff, directors and senior management of the organisation including external agencies.
* Undertakes Authorised Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems.
* Supporting the day-to-day commercial management of the estate management and operation. Developing, implementing and managing energy policies for the estate. Management operation and implementation of the Permit to Work system and Safe Systems at work.
* Ensuring services comply in accordance with the Project Agreement, legislative, statutory and HTM requirements.
* The management of a team of multi-skilled shift & day work operative, providing 24/7 reactive & planned maintenance services, ensuring the safe operation of all plant and equipment within the hospital site.
* Support Commercial Management of the operational element of the contract, including management of the Performance Monitoring systems and to ensure Contract and Commercial Compliance.
* The cost-effective delivery of a Planned Preventative Maintenance Service, ensuring full completion of statutory tasks within the prescribed inspection intervals.
The person specification:
* ONC /HNC in relevant building services discipline
* Experience in building services and plant engineering
* Experience in maintenance technical issues
* Experience in water hygiene regulations
* Awareness of CDM regulations
* Proven experience of managing a maintenance team and achieving SLA’s
* Self-starter
* Effective team player
* Flexibility with the ability to work under pressure whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery
* Fully aware of H&S and general legislative matters
