Salary:
£46,288 – £51,548 dependant on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
This role will require you to create and deliver complex Systems Engineering solutions that will shape the design and development of the Future Combat Air Systems
You will be responsible for delivering technical documentation during product development, with clear understanding of the product, risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies associated with the Future Combat Air System
Ensure you support the creation of credible ‘Mission Systems’ supply chain options agreed with International Partners
You will make sure that the ‘products’ delivered are qualified, certified, safety and security assured
You will be tasked with documenting and presenting engineering progress and results to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure you provide timely reporting information into the Future Combat Air System Project and Systems Delivery reviews
Involved in writing business cases, exploitation plans and proposals to steer Mission Systems related research and internal investment activities
Your skills and experiences:
Degree educated in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
Ability to deliver complex technical engineering solutions
Experience in integrating Engineering activities across various teams / stakeholders
Experience of the following toolsets would be beneficial, but not considered essential:
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Dynamic Object Orientated Requirements System (DOORS) & SystemLink

The Future Combat Air System Mission System Team:
There is an immediate requirement for Senior Mission Systems Engineers to join a highly skilled, professional team within the ‘Mission & Information Systems, Centre of Excellence’, working on the Future Combat Air System.
You will be involved with the design and development of the next 6th Generation System of Systems Military Platform which will dominate defence and aerospace for decades.
