Our Opportunity
This full-time permanent IVVQ Manager will be working on a solution/product delivering a next generation Electronic Warfare (EW) solution. This role performs a subset of all the engineering activities required to develop a solution/product whilst achieving customer satisfaction of the delivered solution/product. This role requires a Systems Engineer experienced in leading an IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification) team and requirements management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake IVVQM activities in a lead capacity
* Development and implementation of IVVQ strategy across the business
* Ensuring that the IVVQ activities are aligned to the overall Project Plan and are delivered in line with the agreed Project cost, quality and schedule constraints.
* Introduction of new tools and working practices related to IVVQ
* Demonstration that the solution satisfies the overall approved operational needs set out by the customer.
* Support and undertake IVVQ activities.
* SE and IVVQ related documentation.
* Managing and reporting defects identified in a clear and efficient manner.
What are we looking for?
Skills:
* An understanding of System Engineering and System Engineering Processes and Practices, including knowledge of Systems Lifecycles.
* An ability to work with combinations of technologies, to integrate and verify them in a logical and structured way into a system in order to fully satisfy a Customer’s requirement.
* Able to develop and establish collaborative ways of working with multiple stakeholders and disciplines to establish a system-centric way of working.
* Excellent communications skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to present and explain technical and complex problems, tailored appropriately for the audience.
* A team player with a “can-do” attitude that performs effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Experience:
* Minimum of a Bachelor Degree (BEng, BSc) in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or Higher Education/equivalent training and experience.
* Proven testing experience in a lead role
* Proven working experience in requirements management using DOORS.
* Experience of full systems lifecycle from design through to validation and qualification.
* Familiarity with iterative development and agile processes
* Detailed working knowledge of the engineering lifecycle, from concept design, requirements capture and management, system and subsystem design, system integration, through to test strategies, acceptance and design update.
* Knowledge of Architecture Frameworks (MODAF, DODAF, TOGAF etc.)
* Experience in product line Engineering
* Preference for experience working in the Electronic Warfare, Radar or telecommunications domain.
This role will require SC Clearance with no caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
