The role
As a Norwich Pilot you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO), a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance, police and offshore sectors. BMCSO provides world-class operations to our customers helping them to save lives and protect communities every day.
Day-to-day, BMCSO currently operate EC and EC aircraft in a variety of roles. The position is for a captain position based in Norwich operating on the H D3 and offers varied and challenging flying across a range of disciplines including HEMS and NVIS operations. The successful candidate will be required to maintain the highest standards of professional expertise and safety throughout the conduct of this challenging role.
This role is full time and based onsite at Norwich.
Essential experience of the Norwich Pilot:
Either :
1. hours pilot in command of aircraft of which hours is pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters
2. or
3. hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations of which hours is as pilot in command under supervision and hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
4. hours minimum total helicopter experience.
5. hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
6. 20 hours VMC at night as pilot in command.
7. Current or Recent HEMS experience.
8. Have experience of flight with Night Vision Goggles.
Qualifications for the Norwich Pilot:
9. Hold a UK ATPL(H)
10. Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK
11. Be qualified and instrument rated on the EC.
Security Clearance
12. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance.
