We are seeking a dedicated Housing Options Officer to join our Clients team in Warwickshire on a 6-month contract. This hybrid role involves providing support to individuals on the housing register, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate assistance to secure and maintain housing.
Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office, rest from home)
Contract: 6 months
Pay: £25-28/hr via umbrella
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist individuals on the housing register by providing advice and guidance on housing options.
2. Conduct assessments to determine housing needs and eligibility for housing services.
3. Develop personalised housing plans to help applicants secure suitable accommodation.
4. Provide information on available housing options, including social housing, private rentals, and supported housing.
5. Liaise with landlords, housing providers, and other relevant organisations to identify housing opportunities.
6. Offer practical support and advice on welfare rights, benefits, and financial management.
7. Assist individuals in temporary accommodation with transitioning to permanent housing.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and housing plans.
9. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for applicants.
10. Respect confidentiality and adhere to data protection legislation.
11. Stay informed about relevant housing legislation and policies.
Requirements:
12. Experience in housing options or a related field.
13. Strong understanding of housing legislation and local housing policies.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
16. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
