Mortgage Magic - Ever North Group invites applications to apply for the role of Inhouse Legal Advisor and join its dynamic team.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience working as a solicitor/ counsel. Experience in working in Fin-tech/ Financial Services will be given priority.
* Experience of commercial contracts, litigation, conveyancing, cross and intellectual property law
* Knowledge of working in an in-house environment is preferred
* Must be SRA or BSB registered
* Must possess a law degree from recognized UK universities
Responsibilities but not limited to:
* Advising on controversial and non-controversial matters and leading settlement negotiations
* Offer legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on various legal matters, including agreements, client disputes, and compliance issues
* Supporting and advising on corporate governance matters
* Working on the Data Protection matters to identify data risks, proposing solutions and managing stakeholders
* Draft and issue letters before action in cases where legal action is necessary to resolve disputes or enforce contractual obligations
* Handle legal claims relating to company assets, etc, including drafting responses and representing the company's interests in negotiations or legal proceedings
* Review notices to ensure compliance with legal requirements
* Verify that notices have been sent in accordance with permitted service methods
* Prepare bundles for hearings, ensuring all necessary documents are gathered and organised
* Advising, providing support and guidance to Stakeholders as necessary

* Strong influencing skills, including the ability to present concepts and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to complete tasks accurately, on time and to a high standard.
Qualifications:
* Law degree from recognised UK Universities
* Qualified lawyer (United Kingdom) with proven track record and thorough understanding of the legal spectrum of UK laws and legislations.
* Experience in a fast-paced Financial Services business / FinTech organisations
* Understanding and familiarity of Middle East, Canada, Australia and Europe market preferred
* Good knowledge of data privacy law and understanding of information governance
* Adept at achieving the balance between legal risk and business priorities
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills
* IT literate, competent user of all Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
