Job Description
The QEHS Senior Assistant helps to manage the day to day business policies, processes and procedures and build our position within ‘Best in Class’ Business Management Processes. This role will support the Management Team by maintaining the QEHS Systems. This position also requires the individual taking an active role within the plant, to ensure H&S and Product Quality is always maintained to the highest possible standards throughout the business. This position requires a forward-thinking individual with a ‘Can Do’ approach and the ability to deputise for the QEHS Manager when required.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintenance of QEHS, systems and procedures for the plant to ensure compliance
2. Internal audit procedures for QEHS and record keeping
3. Management of external audits
4. Lead risk assessments and reduce risk
5. Ensure that manufacturing, supply chain and design/certification processes meet the required standards
6. Improve quality management procedures through analysis of performance
7. Review customer requirements and follow up on customer returns and permanent corrective actions
8. Ensure that internal quality standards are achieved
9. Ensure that the training plans across the business support the QEHS expectations
10. Monitor site performance on QEHS issues and produce statistical reports
Qualifications
11. Experience and/or knowledge of Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management Systems.
12. A high standard of written and spoken communication skills.
13. Good understanding of Microsoft Office including data processing.
14. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
