Randstad Education Liverpool are seeking a RE Teacher for a Secondary School based in the Southport area. This role is to start in October 2024.
Responsibilities
1. Must be able to teach RE up to KS4 / GCSE Level
2. Plan, prepare and teach appropriate lessons within your specialist subject area enabling all student abilities to access the curriculum
3. Support colleagues within your department as required
4. Organise your classroom to create a positive teaching environment, liaising with relevant teaching assistants and support staff to develop effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues
5. Maintain discipline through employing various classroom management techniques in line with the school's behaviour management policy
6. Monitor pupil's progress and keep records on their development
7. Attend meetings, parent's evenings and in-service training days as required by the school, helping them in all areas to the best of your ability
Requirements
8. Relevant Undergraduate Degree
9. Hold a qualification with or leading to, UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). NQTs and overseas qualified teachers are welcome to apply
10. Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process
11. Be passionate about teaching and your subject
12. Have excellent communication skills
13. Possess the motivation to achieve and add value to a school
14. Have proven classroom management skills
