This role will be part of the team working on co- and full-development projects across all platforms for Behaviour’s roster of blue-chip clients, which includes Microsoft, Sony, EA, Warner, 2K, and many others.As an Artistic Director, you will be responsible for working on our Co-Dev vertical within the Studios Business Unit to work with external partners. You will lead and supervise our internal artistic teams on several projects and be in touch with our dedicated clients for these projects. You will also be actively involved in game pitches and in the elaboration of the artistic vision to illustrate these concepts.Working closely with the creative director, designers, programmers and external suppliers, you will ensure the highest quality artistic vision. In this role you will :
1. Design attractive visuals inspired by new intellectual properties or existing properties and ensure that the material produced is consistent;
2. Actively participate in the definition, maintenance and development of the artistic vision in interdepartmental artistic discussions;
3. Guide team members, freelancers and external studio teams as needed;
4. Lead the process of defining objectives, standards, processes and feedback mechanisms;
5. Approve and participate in the creation of visual elements, define quality standards, content structure and optimization;
6. Provide artistic support to Game Designers in the realization of their ideas;
7. Maintain demographic and psychographic consumer awareness and take into account the latest market trends.
What we're looking for :
8. Bachelor of Arts or another related degree, or equivalent experience;
9. At least five years experience as Artistic Director or Lead Artist and have delivered at least two titles of high quality and varied styles;
10. Experience in creating original intellectual properties in a video game context;
11. Mastery of Photoshop, knowledge of Maya and experience working with a game engine;
12. Excellent innovation and communication skills, and a strong understanding of the creative process;
13. Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written;
