CNC Multi Axis Miller (Programmer)
Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: 38 hours per week, fixed shift patterns Monday to Thursday, 14:00 – 00:00
Salary: £33 - £47k
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our experienced team as a CNC Multi Axis Miller Programmer. This role involves setting, operating, and programming 3, 4, and 5 axis machinery to enhance our New Product Introduction (NPI) capabilities. Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Programmer:
* Produce quality precision-engineered components according to detailed specifications, within strict production timeframes and tolerances.
Key Skills of a CNC Miller Programmer:
* Proficient in setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines, including 3, 4, and 5 axis.
* Engineering qualification from City and Guilds, HNC, or similar.
* Knowledge of speeds and feeds for various raw materials, programming, safety, and tooling.
* Familiarity with FANUC/Mazatrol control language is preferable.
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Experience with CMM inspection and measuring techniques is advantageous.
The CNC Miller Programmer will have the ability to:
* Program using HyperMill (ideally).
* Operate CNC milling machinery, fixtures, and fittings in a compliant environment, adhering to tight tolerances.
* Use manual measuring equipment and accurately read manufacturing drawings.
* Operate Mazak 5 Axis milling machinery is a plus.
