Position: Stores Manager
Location: Southampton
Rate/Salary: Dependant on experience
As a Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager, you will be responsible for stock ordering and understanding production stock requirements. This role will be based in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have an engineering stores marine background, and you will be working for a high-performance tender company.
Duties and responsibilities of the Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager:
1. Stock control, loss prevention, goods in and goods out.
2. Ensuring production levels are maintained and build specifications are understood and managed to maintain appropriate stock levels.
3. Streamlining the stores process to enhance efficiency, organisation, and overall productivity.
4. Ensure the stores area remains clean and organised at all times.
5. Make sure items and products are signed out to individuals consistently to track assets.
6. Liaise with Purchasing to monitor and replenish consumable stock levels regularly, avoiding production delays.
7. Source products to ensure optimal value and competitive pricing.
Qualifications and requirements for the Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager:
1. Strong knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
2. A full UK driving licence, along with a forklift licence, is desirable.
3. Ability to travel to work in Southampton on a daily basis.
