Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join a growing team at a successful design agency. The agency has a roster of international and UK-based B2B and B2C clients, ranging from SMEs to global multinationals. They now need a Senior Account Manager to continue to build relationships between clients and the agency. This is a vital role as this individual will ensure that they meet their client’s needs and create brand and marketing outputs they are all proud of, positively impacting our clients’ business.
As Senior Account Manager, you will need to be a creative problem solver, be able to manage internal and external communications, have an eye for detail, and have the tenacity to drive projects to completion. The role will require a broad knowledge and a high standard of online and offline marketing channels and tactics. You will be working on activities as varied as product launches, creating new websites, or managing events.
The Senior Account Manager role
1. Managing the client relationship of a selection of accounts through effective communication, problem-solving, and responding to requests.
2. Taking client briefs and communicating the requirements to creatives, designers, copywriters, and other agency partners.
3. Scoping of projects and writing project/campaign proposals.
4. Presenting and selling creative work (some pitch work may also be required).
5. Developing timing plans, ensuring that project deadlines and budgets are met, and communicating and seeking approval of any changes to these.
6. Managing the work and output of other team members, e.g., proof checking, etc.
7. Identifying ways to grow client accounts through new business opportunities.
8. Keeping the team and the client up to date with helpful knowledge and insights.
9. Maintaining accurate records of meetings, decisions, and subsequent actions.
10. Quoting and managing budgets; drafting invoices.
11. Performing client reviews; in collaboration with other team members, reporting on work/campaign performance and KPIs.
Senior Account Manager Core Skills
1. Previous 2 to 3 years experience as an Account Manager within an agency environment.
2. Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms.
3. Personable, professional, and able to work effectively with a variety of different people.
4. Exceptionally well organized, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
5. Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
6. Persuasive, able to sell work and ideas and respond positively to feedback.
7. Flexible and able to solve problems.
8. Resilient and positive in difficult situations.
9. Able to juggle competing demands and manage deadlines effectively.
