Applications from candidates with a Personal Injury background are welcomed – no prior experience within child abuse compensation is required as full training will be provided.

The Child Abuse Compensation Department is a national leader in the niche area of abuse law. It is involved in landmark cases, specifically in abuse suffered in foster care. It has acted as the lead Solicitor for large groups of survivors who suffered abuse in children's homes and detention centres and has been instrumental in the development of scheme cases.
To be considered for this Child Abuse Solicitor role, you will be a Solicitor or FCILEX and have a background in Personal Injury Claims and/or Civil Litigation.
Previous experience of pursuing multi-track cases to trial, including attendance on Cost and Case Management Conferences and Cost Budgeting, is also ideal. If you have experience in dealing with CICA claims and drafting bill of costs/conducting costs negotiations, this would be a clear advantage.
