One of the leading specialist schools in Oxford, South East England, for students with Autism have a new position open for a 1-1 supporting role for their students with complex Autism and Learning Disabilities and are looking for a Graduate with relevant education to join their staff team. Candidates with relevant SEN experience and knowledge will also be considered! The SEN School is in Swindon with SEN students aged 3-11. As an ASD Support assistant you will provide consistent, quality support to ensure a high quality of care and tailored assistance during their educational career. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory. Graduates with qualifications in similar areas will also be considered (e.g. Psychology, Criminology and Sociology). You will be working on a 1-1 basis supporting a student in a small classes, alongside therapists, psychologists and other specialist support staff.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in to work alongside the therapists and psychologists working on-site at the school. As an ASD Support Assistant you will be coached and mentored with the chance to shadow experienced professionals in the field, gaining invaluable experience working with children with Special Needs and Complex Learning Disabilities.
