Job Purpose
To oversee and coordinate warehouse team activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in areas such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The Warehouse Team Leader ensures safety compliance, meets performance targets, and fosters team development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision
* Lead, manage, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Ensure that all team members are adequately trained and follow operational procedures.
* Schedule shifts and assign tasks based on business needs.
2. Operational Efficiency
* Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring processes are followed correctly and efficiently.
* Manage workflows and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and dispatch deadlines.
* Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as pick/pack rates, order accuracy, and on-time delivery.
3. Inventory Management
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and stock audits.
* Ensure that stock is properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
* Report inventory discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
4. Health & Safety
* Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety standards.
